Apple’s acquisition of mobile advertising Quattro os recognized ,combined Mobile Advertising Division
Yesterday’s rumors that Apple bought mobile advertising service provider Quattro Wireless with 275 million U.S. dollars today has confirmed . Quattro Wireless Corporation CEO Andy Miller issued a notice on its Web site today announced that the company has been acquired by Apple.
Announcement did not disclose the purchase price. Quattro Wireless also said that after being Apple’s acquisition, its mobile advertising service is not affected in any way, the original advertising network and supporting team will continue to operate. however, Andy Miller in the article’s inscribe is no longer Quattro Wireless CEO, but Apple’s vice president of mobile advertising.
Clearly, Apple is ready to form their own mobile advertising business based on the Quattro Wireless to promote online advertising services of the iPhone or other mobile platforms. As for the App Store with the existing online store, what kind of integration remains to be seen.
