Core i7-930 will be released in February next year to replace the i7-920

As the most low-end models of LGA1366 family , Core i7-920 is the best choice for a lot of people to experience the new Nehalem architecture, but in the first quarter of next year it will begin to retire, replaced by the new Core i7-930.

Core i7-930’s frequency will be upgraded to 2.80GHz, which is frequency-doubling to reach 21x, in addition, it is exactly the same as Core i7-920 2.66GHz : 45nm process, D0 stepping, quad-core 8 threads, 3-channel DDR3 memory controller, 8MB secondary cache and a TDP of 130W.

The latest news shows, Core i7-930 will be released in the end of February 2010 , 1000 the wholesale price remains at 284 U.S. dollars.
