Intel 34nm solid-state drive firmware TRIM re-publish
By the end of October, Intel introduced new 34nm technology solid-state drive X25-M/X18-M a new version of firmware and it provides support for Windows 7’s TRIM function , while performance is optimized. However, shortly after release on the report updates the firmware the player after another led to the hard disk unusable. After just one day, Intel confirmed that a new version of firmware problems, and immediately removed it.
As the previous notice, Intel in November 30 local time, a re-release a new version of the revised firmware upgrade. New tools include 34nm X25-M/X18-M firmware version 02HD, it is higher than the end of October version of the 02HA, while the 50nm version X25-M/X18-M and X25-E firmware version is still 8820 and 8850, using 50nm old Intel solid-state hard drive ,users do not need to upgrade.
A new version of amendment to the previous version of the firmware is clearly the hard disk can not be used that could cause the problem, Intel also said in the release notes: “The revised continue to introduce a number of improvements and optimized for the Intel SSD aims to provide the best possible user experience.”
CD-ROM version of the firmware upgrade process is still image, download dials need to boot the system after installation. (34nm X25-M/X18-M upgrade to 02HD, 50nm X25-M/X18-M or X25-E can also be installed, but did not upgrade the firmware version)
