Google executives: Google Docs will become Terminator of the Office next year
According to foreign media reported today, Google Enterprise president Dave Girouard said that next year, Google will have Google Docs (Google Docs) for significant improvement in challenge to Microsoft Office.
Girouard said, specifically, Google plans to make 30-50 items for functionality and performance improvements of Google Docs and other aspects; perhaps Google Docs in the function can not match Microsoft’s Word software, but then it should be able to meet the the vast majority of users. He expects that by that time, large companies can abandon the Office .
Microsoft Office currently has 500 million users, including Google document Google applications (Google Apps) has 20 million users. If, as envisaged by Girouard, Google documents has become a mainstream product, it needs some time to achieve this vision. And Microsoft will not stand still, Office 2010 will instead compete for Google Docs users.
