Opera Mini saves 8.1 billion U.S. dollars mobile phone flow charges every year
Opera Software today released the mobile phone network survey in September 2009 .It showed 10 countries’mobile phone users after using the Opera Mini browser which can save approximately 8.1 billion U.S. dollars for flow fee.
According to statistics, Opera Mini users in September of the largest amount of ten countries are: Russia, Indonesia, India, China, Ukraine, South Africa, the United States, Britain, Poland, Viet Nam. Vietnam is the first short-listed the top ten, replacing the position of Nigeria.
According to the U.S. national operator fees’ count, Opera Mini can save 672 million U.S. dollars for users of the largest of 10 national per month , 8.1 billion U.S. dollars a year down there. According to the data flow and cost, the users of the United States and United Kingdom save most, followed by that of China (see the table).
Opera Mini Global trends:
- September 2009:users volume is more than 3560 million, an increase of 150% or more, compared to last month also increased by 11.5%.
- Monthly PV total flow is nearly 15 billion (500 million,an average day), an increase of 230%, ring increasing 7.2%.
- Generated nearly 227TB of data for operators worldwide ,an increase of 224%, ring compared with an increase of 8.7%. Because Opera Mini’s data compression rate can up to 90%, which means that the actual data month, Opera Mini server processing capacity can up to 2.1PB, that is 21000TB.
China Trend:
- Users volume rose 70.2%
- PV flow increased 216.1% per year
- The average PV per user flow: 266
- The average user data flow (compressed): 2MB
- The average data flow on each page (compressed): 9KB
- Baidu net is the first in flow for the first time beyond the air net
